VRYHEID KZN: Family members of deceased man sought by SAPS

Police are searching for the next-of-kin of a deceased 34-year-old male. The man was knocked over by a vehicle in East Street (close to Hoërskool Pionier’s sports grounds) on the night of June 30 at about 20:50. He died on impact. It is alleged that the man was on his way home to Lakeside. Police have very little information regarding the deceased, since he had no identification documents on him. According to Detective Constable Mncwango, the as-yet-unidentified man was wearing a light-brown shirt at the time of the accident. No missing persons case has been opened, nor has anyone claimed the body. Anyone with information regarding the deceased is asked to please contact Detective Constable Mncwango on 083 744 3913.
