VRYHEID KZN: ‘Cupcake Angel’ donates almost R6K to charity
Next year March is another opportunity for the community to support 'Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer'
Elmarie Botha from ‘Koek & Snuffelhoek’ is a dedicated and talented baker who also has a selfless and giving nature. Last week Friday, Elmarie baked 384 cupcakes and sold them in aid of ‘Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer’. She raised almost R6000 to be donated to ‘Cupcakes of Hope’, which in turn will assist families of children with cancer, as well as the sick children themselves.Elmarie is grateful for all the donations; and would like to extend her appreciation to Kerry of Finks Farming for the eggs and Grietjie from Sign It for the stickers. Elmarie could not have done it without the assistance and support of her mother, Elsie Coertse, Alicia Koekemoer and Mackyla van Zyl. Lastly, she extends her gratitude to the community of Vryheid for their amazing support of this worthy initiative. Next year March is another opportunity for the community to support ‘Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer’. “Duisende dankies… Vryheid rock!”
