Ladysmith KZN: Ex-convict hopes to start afresh

Sibonelo Dlalisa wants to start a vegetable garden and needs help in the form of gardening equipment

Sibonelo Dlalisa (45) from Bergville (Emmaus area) was released from prison last year after serving nine years behind bars.

He says he wants to start afresh and correct the mistakes he has made in his life. “I don’t want to go back to jail. I have learnt my lesson and I want to live a clean life from now on,” he tells.

Dlalisa is now appealing to the community to help him with home gardening equipment, as he wants to cultivate a vegetable garden. He says his plan is to sell vegetables around the neighbourhood.

The struggle to find a job has been the order of the day for Dlalisa, so he says he wants to venture into agriculture to make a living. The idea came to him after he realised how difficult it was to find a job.

Dlalisa can be reached on 0649860496 or 0726468109
