NEWCASTLE KZN: Mayor’s supporters and detractors rally outside court
A crowd of supporters gathered outside the Newcastle Regional Court to show their support for Newcastle Mayor, Dr Ntuthuko Mahlaba.
Dr Ntuthuko Mahlaba, the Mayor of Newcastle, appeared in court again today (August 30) on charges of assault and other offenses relating to the ‘fibre feud’ incident.
Throngs of his supporters rallied outside the courthouse, demanding the ‘trumped up charges’ against him be dropped.
Elsewhere, another group has reiterated calls for Cllr Mahlaba to step aside in the name of ‘justice’.
