NEWCASTLE KZN: Volkie Grade 12s receive invitations to matric farewell
The invitations were handed out by Aladdin and his Arabian dancers.
The Covid-19 pandemic hampered lives in a variety of ways, but one thing it couldn’t control was imagination.
When the Volksrust High School matrics of 2021 were invited on a magic carpet ride last Friday (August 20), they got a glimpse of romantic Arabian nights and dancing under the stars.
Carla Muller’s exquisitely handcrafted invitations to this year’s matric farewell were handed out by Aladdin and his Arabian dancers, ahead of the event on September 30.
Saam met die uitnodigings het elke matriek ‘n keurig versierde kolwyntjie ontvang, as voorsmakie van dit wat op hul wag by die matriekafskeidgeselligheid.
The school thanked Anne le Roux and Vidette Martins for the amount of effort they have put in, into making this occasion a very special one for the learners.
“Ons het groot waardering vir die span ouers wat hard agter die skerms aan die werk is en kan nie wag om te sien wat hulle vir hierdie leerders gaan op ‘tower’ nie!”
