DUNDEE KZN: Get your running shoes ready for the Prince Mangosuthu Ultra-Marathon

September sees the running of the Prince Mangosuthu Ultra-Marathon and your chance to win R100,000.

Hosted by Biggarsberg Athletics Club, the Prince Mangosuthu Ultra-Marathon will take place on September 5.

There’s a 52km race, a 10km run and walk, and a 5km fun run and walk.

The 52km race starts at Mgazi Secondary School in Nquthu, while the 10km race starts in Dundee, and the 5km race starts at Kallies Stadium.

There are also huge cash prizes up for grabs, as the first 10 participants to finish in the two main races win money. The winner of the 52km gets a staggering R100,000, while there’s R50,000 for second place, and R25,000 for third. The winner of the 10km will pocket R3000, with second getting R2500 and third getting R2000.

Online registrations are available via WebTickets, and manual registration is open until race day.

You can manually register at Umsinga, Nquthu, Mvoti and Endumeni local municipalities.
