Ladysmith KZN: MEC donates musical instruments to local artists
The recipients were musicians falling under uThukela District Municipality
Local musicians were in for a treat this past weekend, courtesy of the Department of Arts & Culture. It was certainly a lucky Friday the 13th, as they walked away with new musical instruments!
On Friday (August 13), MEC for Arts & Culture Hlengiwe Mavimbela donated 50 packs of musical equipment. The recipients were artists falling under uThukela District Municipality.

Speaking on behalf of the uThukela Arts & Culture Forum, Mr FE Mthambela thanked the MEC. He stated that the local artists will now be able to focus on doing what they are passionate about and be better equipped to make a living.
