VRYHEID KZN: Swiftly cycling their hearts and lungs out
'A-team' have been doing a lot of 'undercover' indoor training on a virtual cycling system called 'Swift'.
With the really cold weather and freezing mornings lately, it has really been a challenge to get out there and cycle. Vryheid’s ‘A-team’ have been doing a lot of ‘undercover’ indoor training on a virtual cycling system called ‘Swift’. After a quick collaboration, they pick a route and ride, and then they all join the ‘online’ ride and cycle their hearts and lungs out in a virtual ride where they can all ‘see’ each other. Very exciting but also really challenging! Well done, guys, on your ‘vasbyt’. Luckily, this past weekend had lovely weather, so it was possible to get the team ‘out there’ and, although mostly a tar road ride, at least they were on their mountain bikes. Enjoying the warmer sunshine and good camaraderie always tops any training. So, it’s encouraging to know that cycling is alive and well in Vryheid.
