NEWCASTLE KZN: Newcastle Municipality confirms the re-opening of public facilities

Bookings will be available for Madadeni Hall, Osizweni Hall, Fairleigh Hall, and Town Hall; however, functions will be limited to a maximum of 50 people.

Mlungisi Khumalo, Newcastle Municipality’s spokesperson, has confirmed that the following public facilities will reopen today (July 28).

  • Libraries, Fort Amiel Museum and Carnegie Art Gallery will be open from 9:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday.
  • Amcor Dam Resort will be open from 6:00 to 18:00, Monday to Sunday.

Bookings will be available for Madadeni Hall, Osizweni Hall, Fairleigh Hall, and Newcastle Town Hall. However, functions will be limited to a maximum of 50 people.

“All of these facilities will strictly adhere to COVID-19 protocols and regulations,” said Khumalo.

The Show Hall, Farmers Hall and Richview Hall would remain closed until further notice.
