NEWCASTLE KZN: Two dead in N11 multi-vehicle collision
The driver and passenger in one of the vehicles were both fatally wounded in the collision.
Two people have tragically lost their lives, following a multi-vehicle collision on the N11 earlier this evening (July 22).
According to sources on scene, it is alleged one of the vehicles was attempting to make an illegal U-turn and crossed into the path of a second vehicle. The force of impact then sent the first vehicle under a truck.
The driver and passenger in one of the vehicles were fatally wounded. An official investigation has since been launched into the cause of the collision and the circumstances thereof.
“Paramedics responded to the scene immediately. However, both patients were pronounced dead at the scene,” confirmed one source.
The collision is now under investigation by authorities.
