NEWCASTLE KZN: Municipality confirms load-shedding this evening
Newcastle Municipality has confirmed that Stage 2 Loadshedding will commence from 4pm this afternoon (July 22).
Power utility, Eskom released a statement earlier this afternoon (July 22) stating that Stage 2 load-shedding will be implemented from 4pm to 9pm today.
This is reportedly due to a shortage of generation capacity.
Newcastle Municipality Corporate Communications Officer, Mlungisi Khumalo confirmed this and advised residents to follow the Stage 2 schedule.
“We also want to ensure residents that we will not be switching off geysers during this time,” he concluded.
