Ladysmith KZN: Play it safe in light of the FREE ZUMA protest threats

The 'threatening' messages that are circulating have left people uneasy and fearing the worst

The hype on social media regarding a National Stay-Away tomorrow (July 12) in all cities, including Ladysmith, has not been confirmed and has left people panicky and unsure of what is going to happen. People are questioning their safety, as well as that of their businesses.

Many will be taking precautions regarding opening their businesses and travelling on national roads tomorrow, in fear of violent protesters who are demanding former President Jacob Zuma’s release from prison.

The ‘threatening’ messages that are circulating have created an atmosphere of unease and fear, but nobody really knows where the protesters will be and how violent things will get.

Residents are advised to be cautious nonetheless in light of what is being said on social media.
