NEWCASTLE KZN: Momentum builds for Hunter’s Project in support of animals in need

Donations can be dropped off at 116 Allen Street (NTT's Honda and Isuzu Division).

Many stray and abandoned animals do not have the luxury of a warm home, a nutritious meal or a family to keep them safe during the icy winter months.

This is what prompted Hunter’s Project – an initiative spearheaded by local businessmen Romano Raghoo and Johan Pieters, to make a difference in the lives of the animals in the care of the Newcastle SPCA.

Hunter, Romano’s adorable pet German Shepard, will be the face of a charity drive aimed at assisting the Newcastle SPCA with food, funds, and warm blankets for the next three months.

“All animals should be able to feel as loved as Hunter is. This is just our way of giving back and looking after the less fortunate animals,” explained Raghoo.

The NTT Group, Honda and Isuzu Division, located at 116 Allen Street, will be the focal point for all donations and residents are encouraged to drop off their items at the dealership.

The project will run from June to August, with donated items being delivered to the Newcastle SPCA once a month.

“Please make a donation today to help these animals in this harsh winter weather. Hunter will undoubtedly appreciate your help for these less fortunate babies. Stay safe, stay warm and deliver your donations today!”
