Teachers from around Ladysmith heeded the Minister's call and went to get vaccinated

On Saturday (June 19), Minister of Basic Education Ms Angie Motshekga announced June 23 as the official  kick-off date for the teachers’ vaccination roll-out. Yesterday (June 23), teachers from around Ladysmith, as well as Department of Education officials, heeded the call and went for their vaccinations at the Limit Hill Community Hall.

Ms Thabisile Ngwenya from Inkosi Dumisa Combined School (under the Umhlumayo area) was one of the teachers who had her ‘jab’ on the first day. “I am feeling good, there are no side effects as yet, and I encourage others to have the vaccine too,” said Ngwenya.

The vaccinations started on a good note, as the queue was not that long and the process was smooth and efficient.
