NEWCASTLE KZN: One suspect in custody for possession of suspected stolen goods
The arrest was made during an intelligence driven operation in the Osizweni policing area this week.
Local law enforcement arrested on suspect, aged 30, after they caught him with suspected stolen goods in the Osizweni policing area.
According to Lizzy Arumugam of the Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications office, the arrest took place during an intelligence diven operation on Tuesday, May 25.
“Osizweni Crime Prevention members were at the Cavan area, at Magadlela Scrapyard at Hlatshwayo Stand when the arrest was made. They recovered two wheelbarrows, which were estimated to be valued at R800,” confirmed Arumugam.
The suspect has since appeared in court.
