Ladysmith KZN: Latest Covid-19 statistics for Uthukela District

647,983 vaccines have been administered so far

The global coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic has robbed many families of their loved ones. As the world still deals with its losses, more and more innocent lives are taken each day.

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health released the latest Covid-19 statistics as of May 23.

The total number of cases are 1,635,465 in South Africa and the death toll stands at 55,802. Thus far in KwaZulu-Natal, there have been 338,853 confirmed cases, with 324,238 recoveries.

According to the National Department of Health, 647,983 vaccines have been administered so far.  

The public is advised to call the coronavirus hotline on 0800029999 with any suspected cases of corona, or to report or obtain information relevant to the pandemic.
