Ladysmith KZN: Electrical fault at Spioenkop likely to affect water supply

uThukela communications manager Jabulani Mkhonza has confirmed that the district municipality is currently facing an electrical supply problem at the Spioenkop Dam pump station.

Eskom are currently attending to the issue.

Due to the fault, water pressure in Van Riebeeck Park, Hospital Park and the Old Golf Course area from Farquhar Road to Lenmed Hospital is likely to be affected.

This is due to the decreased volume of water being received by the Ladysmith plant.
