Ladysmith KZN: Heroic dog saves family from deadly Puff Adder
The snake was moving towards the house and the people when Misty jumped into action...
They say that dogs are a man’s best friend; they love you more than anything else in the world and will do anything to keep you safe. Well, this is surely the case with Misty the Pit Bull, who risked her life to save her family from a deadly Puff Adder.
Lloyd Jugdawooh and his family were at home on Saturday (March 6) when their dog Misty kept on barking outside in the yard. Lloyd and his family went out to see what the commotion was all about, only to find that there was a venomous Puff Adder in the yard.
The snake was moving towards the house and the people when Misty jumped into action and saved the day. 
Misty managed to kill the snake and stop it from harming the family it was headed towards.
The brave dog wasn’t bitten and was not harmed by the snake in any way.
Speaking to Misty’s owner, Lloyd, he says she is one of the friendliest dogs ever. “Make no mistake though, she is ready to protect us from ‘invaders’ trying to enter the yard, be it people, other dogs and even snakes.”
