NEWCASTLE KZN: Meridian Newcastle announces Top Two Matriculants of 2020

Meridian Newcastle ultimately achieved a pass rate of 85.3%.

Meridian Newcastle congratulated the school’s fourth group of matriculants, the Class of 2020, for achieving meritorious results in their final NSC exams.

These results were achieved despite a world-wide pandemic.

Meridian Newcastle ultimately achieved a pass rate of 85.3% with Bachelor degree passes of 46.3%, both an improvement from 2019’s results.

“We wish to congratulate our two top achievers, Lusanda Cummings for achieving a 72.4 % aggregate with two distinctions in Math’s and IsiZulu as well as Palesa Mntambo for achieving a 70 % aggregate with a distinction in IsiZulu. You have done well ladies!” said school marketer, Fezeka Sibisi.

Meridian Newcastle has now moved up to position 5 in the Madadeni Circuit school ratings, up two places from last year’s 7th position.

“We are extremely proud of the strides that we are making as a school and we want to congratulate our learners for their resilient spirit and the hard work that they put in for their final exams. They have surely reaped the rewards of their hard labour. “

The school also thanked the teachers for their dedication and commitment, especially during the hard-working conditions that they faced in 2020.

“We salute our learner’s parents for having faith in us as a school and their continuous support to the school and their children. We are looking forward to even better results from the Class of 2021,” they concluded.
