Ladysmith KZN – Don’t lose hope for 2021 after Covid-19 stole 2020

2020 was not a great year, but that doesn't mean we have to lose hope

When 2019 was over, we all had hopes of 2020 being the year of wonders and miracles. After December comes the most draining and depressing month of all months in the calendar… January as the lockdown level 3 continues

We don’t focus much on January, but February, as we believe it’s a new start after the January blues – that’s when life starts afresh. We were all happy and hopeful that 2020 was going to be the year of great heights and new beginnings for all. However, coronavirus cases in the world started rising and restrictions had to be made by governments in order to protect their residents. In March 2020, everything came to a standstill in South Africa and some parts of the world. We were introduced to a new way of living and new practices in the face of the national lockdown.

2020 was not a great year, but that doesn’t mean we have to lose hope for 2021 and approach it with negative energy. The year still lies ahead and anything can happen, as long as you keep focus. So let’s not lose hope in life, just because of one event that changed our lives. We need to learn to accommodate the coronavirus in our plans so that we can continue on the road to success.

The vaccine for Covid-19 may be available this year, so let’s hope it will be a new start for all of us. Positivity is the way to go through life, so let’s do justice to every opportunity we get.
