Two trucks were involved in a collision on the N3 near Hidcote this morning (November 18). The collision alert came in at 5.45am. According to information received by the control centre, one truck was parked off in the emergency lane when a second truck side-swiped it. ALSO READ: Truck driver trapped after collision near Midway The second truck veered off the road, causing an obstruction across the entire Durban-bound lane. The road was closed, which resulted in a lengthy backlog. When paramedics arrived on scene a total of four people were treated for injuries varying from minor to serious. One person sustained serious injuries. This portion of the N3 was open just after 8.30am.
