The two suspects in the murders of Glen and Vida Rafferty will appear in court again on November 11.
During court proceedings today (October 29), the State requested a postponement in the matter due to outstanding evidence from the Forensic Science Laboratory. The lab is said to have been severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Legal Aid representatives also indicated a possible conflict of interest with representing both Siyabonga Macu and Doctor Ngwenya. Another attorney will thus be appointed to represent Macu going forward.
Both suspects were again remanded into police custody.
