VRYHEID: Child Welfare hosts another successful golf day

Child Welfare extends its gratitude towards each player, donor and person who was involved in making this day a huge success

Another year has passed and it was time once again for Vryheid Child Welfare’s biggest annual fund-raiser on Saturday (October 24).
Like many other companies and non-profit organisations, Child Welfare also took a financial knock due to Covid-19 since they could not host all of their fund-raising events. Thankfully, Wayne Bissett and Sunjay Bennie once again ‘saved the day’ with the Siyaxhasana Construction sponsored Child Welfare Golf Day.
Child Welfare is grateful for the donations from individuals and businesses that contributed to the success of the day, as well as their donations throughout the year. Vryheid Meat Masters, Siyaxhasana Construction and Tyrevulc provided the golfers with the most amazing refreshments to keep their spirits up during a hot and humid day. On top of the most amazing prizes, there was also a raffle on the day which raised a substantial amount of money.
Congratulations to Debra Hazell on winning a table-top ice-making machine.

A very special thank you goes to Cathy de Beer from Siyaxhasana Construction for her assistance, as well as all the volunteers who helped to ensure that things ran smoothly on the day.
Child Welfare would also like to extend their gratitude to Vryheid Country Club for granting them the opportunity to host this event. Congratulations to all the prize winners and thank you for your support.
Nearest the pins were Joos le Roux, Ryno Crous, LJ Roberts and M van Niekerk.
Longest drive prizes went to J Pillay and B Ackerman.
The winners were: B Nkosi and M Mtshali (49 points); L Kruger and A James (48 points); G Ellis and H Hellberg (48 points).
