Getting back into the ‘swim’ of things

Safety first for swimmers

Swimming season may have started but its still safety first for the Dundee Aquatics Swim Club.

The club has encouraged members to return to the pool, highlighting the protocols put in place to ensure that everyone is kept safe during this period.

A team of dedicated coaches and helpers are also available to ensure everything runs smoothly this season and each one has been assigned with a particular role.

Chairlady, Tracy van der Merwe, will be in charge of coaching the high school learners from 4pm to 5pm, Monday to Thursday. (Only learners who can swim the full length of a pool.) Vice Chairlady, Debbie Sharp will be in charge of the adult swimmers at the pool.

She will also be ably assisted by Secretary, Tarryn du Toit.

Coaches:

Mr Blom – He will be coaching all the little ones that come up from the swimming schools in the area.

Sonja Bruyns: Will coach all swimmers that come up from Mr Blom’s class. She can be contacted for all ages but the swimmer in question needs to swim at least a length solo.

The full regulations are as follows:
