The driver of a British American Tobacco (BAT) delivery truck was shot while delivering cigarettes this afternoon (Tuesday, October 27).
According to police, the driver was shot in the legs after he attempted to reverse the van away from the robbers. A single bullet went through both legs.
The robbers made off with about R10,000 in cigarettes.
This is the second BAT vehicle to be robbed in less than a week.
