Ladysmith KZN: Town in the grip of a terrible heatwave

Stay hydrated by drinking lots of water, and wear sunblock and a hat

Weather reports have predicted a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius for Ladysmith today (October 20). The town is in the grip of a heatwave, with blisteringly hot conditions being experienced.

Thankfully, tomorrow (Wednesday, October 21) the weather fundis say that cooler conditions will prevail, with a maximum temperature of 22 degrees Celsius.

If you’re out in the sun today, make sure you’re wearing sunblock and a hat. Stay hydrated as well by drinking lots of water.

Also don’t forget that lockdown is still in effect, so follow all the rules and regulations such as wearing a face mask, sanitizing your hands and adhering to social distancing.
