ESTCOURT: Rotary rewards efforts to beautify the town

The Rotary Club of Estcourt had the pleasure of presenting Certificates of Recognition to Dr Willem and Mrs Laura Erasmus, Gerry’s Motors CEO and Past President Peter Buys and Mortimer Toyota Workshop Manager, Rowan Petersen.

These awards were presented in acknowledgement of the efforts made to beautify their business surrounds.

Willem and Laura have, for many years, made the garden on the approach to the railway bridge always look green and lovely.

It was the initiative of Rowan Petersen of Mortimer Toyota, to revamp the Gerry’s Circle and centre islands, and with the enthusiastic help of Peter Buys of Gerry’s Motors, great strides have been made in making that entrance into Estcourt an absolute pleasure to look at.

A special thanks to the gardeners who put in a lot of time and effort to maintain these places of beauty.

The Rotary Club of Estcourt salutes the endeavours of these community minded citizens of Estcourt and encourages others to follow their example.
