DUNDEE – Pay your respects to Ronnie

Ronnie's birthday will be marked with a special memorial outside his home

You can pay your respects to Ronnie Calitz who was tragically killed on Wednesday morning.

Ronnie’s house was set alight and his bakkie was also stolen.

The Fire Brigade contained the blaze but most of the interior of the house was gutted. Ronnie’s body was then found amidst the burnt rubble in the home. Tributes to the popular panelbeater have poured in from all communities.

To mark his birthday today, a big white cross will be erected outside Ronnie’s house on 70 Beaconsfield Street. Those wishing to pay their respects can lay flowers or tribute items there today.

The cross will be erected by 10am, but due to Covid-19, people are asked to go at their own times during the day.

Three people were taking in for questioning originally for the murder and one man will appear in court today in connection with the crime.
