Bowlers bag Midweek League Trophy

Midweek League

Dundee’s Hans Vreken, Anna Muller, Hennie Engelbrecht and Louisa Vreken won the Midweek League trophy playing the final round in Pongola last week. Loads of fun was had by all who participated in the midweek league.
“It was great to see such a good turn-out at the Tabs-In bowls on Saturday,” said Nan Roos.
“The bar was well supported regardless of the load shedding. It was sad to see our last Super15 South African team, the Stormers, perish to the Brumbies,” Nan added.
Third Sunday Fun Bowls
A wonderful turnout was had for the event on Fathers Day. Members and friends ended the afternoon with a great braai at the super new braai area.
Friedmann Cup

Gentlemen and ladies Club Singles July 11-12
This completion has a sponsor for the first time, AT Moolman Insurance Brokers, and will also be run with a Plate division. All new members are encouraged to participate.
All players are reminded that every Wednesday and Saturday a Tabs-In, i.e. an open draw is done. All members are welcome.
Out and about
On Youth Day, Nan’s team supported and won the Ladysmith lodge-sponsored tournament at Klipbank Bowling Club. Last Saturday two teams from Dundee travelled to Ncandu to support their sponsored day and Nan’s came second on a count out and Sylvia’s team came third. Colenso Bowling Club is having the Piet Everts Trips tournament on June 28, call Karen Peech 071-877 3379 to enter.
The Pongola Winter tournament is in July 25, see club notice board to enter. All members are encouraged to support other clubs as we need their support as well.
