Ladysmith KZN – Three people were shot and killed in a drive-by shooting between Ezakheni E-Section and Pieters road on Monday night (August 31).
According to Ladysmith police spokesperson Captain Bongani Nyathi, the shooting happened at around 11pm. Police found three people who had been fatally shot inside a silver-grey VW Polo. The victims were a woman and two men aged between 26 and 30 years old.
Another two victims were injured and taken to hospital.
A BMW vehicle that was allegedly being towed by the VW Polo was also shot at during the incident.
Captain Nyathi added that 51 rifle and pistol cartridges, and two bullet heads were found at the crime scene.

Ezakheni police officers are investigating three cases of murder and two of attempted murder.
