Yum Yum, the miracle mine-shaft dog

Happy, healthy and not hungry anymore, Yum Yum is truly a miracle dog.

Trapped at the bottom of an abandoned mineshaft, things looked bleak for a four-month-old puppy.

Six months later, the puppy now known as Yum Yum, is happy, healthy and full of life.

Yum Yum was stuck at the bottom of a mineshaft near Glencoe in November last year.

SPCA officials raced to rescue the scared puppy and even called in a Proto team member from Buffalo Coal to assist them.

After many painstaking hours, the puppy was rescued, extremely dehydrated, but without injuries.

Thanks to Kavish Ramcharan, Maryna Eastes, Thomas Dlamini, Peter Dlamini and Junaid Ayob, the puppy was saved.

Now Yum Yum can be seen bounding around the SPCA, living life to the fullest.
