Ladysmith Women’s Forum donates food parcels in Steadville

"It feels so good to know you have brought change to a person's life"

On Saturday (May 9), the Ladysmith Women’s Forum was out in full force and visited Steadville, where they donated 68 food parcels to needy families in the area.

The Ladysmith Women’s Forum is a non-profit organisation (NPO) that was formed in February 2012 and registered in April 2019. Its objective is to render assistance to the most vulnerable and destitute people of all races and religions.

“It feels so good to know that you have brought change to a person’s life. This is our way of showing love and giving back to our own community of Ladysmith during this difficult time when the whole country is faced with the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Ladysmith Women’s Forum founder Shireen Vorajee.

The NPO also asks other people to join in and change the lives of underprivileged community members in Ladysmith by lending a helping hand.

“Every bit helps and the Forum requires the support of the community in order to provide this much-needed service to humanity. The food hampers are running out, so we appeal to businesses and individuals to come forward. If anyone wishes to contribute, please email us at: ladysmithwomensforum@gmail.com,” added Shireen.
