uThukela would like the public to know that repairs to a steel inlet pipeline at the Spioenkop pump station will be carried out today and tomorrow (May 11 and 12).
The media statement by uThukela Communication Manager Jabulani Mkhonza reads as follows: “The extent of the damage will be assessed on site.

“We have made arrangements for 48 hours of supply while pumps will be switched off at the Ladysmith Water Treatment Works in anticipation for short turnaround time.”
uThukela therefore requests the public and industry to use water sparingly today (Monday) and Tuesday.
