#SiegeofLadysmith2020 – All roads are currently open in Ladysmith
Police and Public Safety officers are currently monitoring the situation
All roads are open to traffic this morning (March 13). This after days of havoc in Ladysmith as angry protesters have blocked roads with man-made barricades, stoned vehicles and torched trucks in a bid to have Mayor Vincent Madlala removed from office.
Many people have been seen walking into town as they try to get to work, as no taxis or buses are running. This is still the case today.
Police and Public Safety are monitoring the situation. Motorists are advised to take caution when travelling in and around town, as the situation could change at any moment.
