A large contingent of police from out of town – together with Public Safety, the K9 Unit and other support services – have started operations to restore law and order in Ladysmith.
The unit is moving in convoy and is expected to clear the Limit Hill / Helpmekaar area soon.
The Ladysmith Fire Department and RTI are also in attendance.
Heavily-armed police, as we speak, are clearing the area.
