Well-known Ladysmith car enthusiast dies in horror crash along Protea Drive

A large number of friends and family members gathered at the scene

A well-known local car enthusiast sadly lost his life in a crash along Protea Drive earlier this evening (February 10).

Michael Naicker, whose nickname was Beez, was driving a VW Jetta when it is alleged that he lost control of the vehicle and hit a streetlight pole. 

It is believed there were other occupants in the Jetta and that they sustained injuries in the crash.

The deceased was flung out of the vehicle and was found lying a few metres away from the car.

A large number of friends and family members gathered at the scene of the crash.

Beez was well known and loved in the ‘Ladysmith car world’, and had an undeniable passion for motor vehicles.
