Ladysmith police have opened a murder docket and are appealing to anyone with information that could lead to arrests to come forward after a taxi owner was gunned down in Burford last Sunday (November 10).
It is alleged that the victim was driving his bakkie when unknown men opened fire on him.
He was shot several times and empty rifle cartridges were recovered at the crime scene.
