Latest dam levels in Ladysmith area, in the drought

Spioenkop Dam is still above 75%, but is dropping all the time

With uThukela telling us that the drought conditions are worsening, many people may be wondering how much water is currently in the dams surrounding Ladysmith.

The answer is that the levels are dropping each and every week by a few percent.

Spioenkop Dam, which feeds certain areas of Ladysmith with water, is on 76.3%.

Driel Barrage is impressive on 95% and Woodstock Dam 86.6%.

Wagendrift Dam is currently on 79.4% and Sterkfontein Dam on a high 91.4%.

The lowest dam in KZN is Albert Falls, which is only 33.8%.
