Local parkrunners fly the flag of success

Talitha completed her 150th parkrun and joined an elite group of athletes, while Andre finished his 124th run.

Local parkrunners, Talitha van Wyk and Andre Moore celebrated their respective milestones on Saturday.

Talitha completed her 150th parkrun and joined an elite group of athletes, while Andre finished his 124th run. The two said they were pleased with their achievements.

They joined many others who flocked to Grey Goose Game Lodge on Saturday (February 1), for the weekly five kilometre parkrun event. Participants from outside of town were greeted with friendly smiles.

The Kotze family: Jacques, Chloe, Clarice and Sunet.

Runners were encouraged to continue practicing fitness through participating each week, and in turn making friendships that could last a lifetime.

To register for the next parkrun, visit www.parkrun.co.za and join in the excitement every Saturday at 8am. You can also register as a volunteer and enjoy a day out with friends and family. Email greygoosehelpers@parkrun.com for more information.
