During an Intelligence Driven Operation in the Osizweni area on January 21, SAPS officials were given information about drugs being sold.
Police arrived at the house in the Cavan area (Madi Stand) and recovered four full Mandrax tablets, two half Mandrax tablets and four quarter Mandrax tablets.
“We also recovered R50 in cash.”

On the same day, at a house in the Blaauwbosch area (Sikhosana Stand), police recovered 17 full Mandrax tablets and two half tablets, along with R60 in cash. According to SAPS, the total street value of the recovered drugs is estimated at R1 100.
Two suspects, aged 21 and 28, were arrested and have appeared in the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court for the possession of drugs.
