Bubbles and nibbles at final ‘Wine and Dine’ for 2019

The final 'Wine and Dine' event for the year was accompanied by fantastic music and delectable food.

It was a night of glitz and glam at the last Wine and Dine show of the year, held on November 15 at Blackrock Casino.

Guests showed up in their best evening wear as the entertainment for the night, electric string quartet The Muses got guests in the mood for a great event.

The starter dish was a mezze platter which included Kalamata olives, chicken liver paté, feta cheese, hummus, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, toasted flatbread, roasted aubergine, carrot sticks and celery dolmades.

Bernice Pentz, Ziyaad Hoosain and Robin Pentz enjoy a night of food and wine.

The main dish consisted of Chinese duck spring rolls with a dipping jus, Thai chicken skewers, fish goujons in bamboo, deep fried halloumi cheese, braaied mushrooms on bruschetta, Asian chicken dumplings and rare roast beef on bruschetta with whole grain mustard.

Those with a sweet tooth were rhapsodic about the dessert options: mini chocolate brownies, mini chocolate éclairs, assorted mini cheesecakes and eastern spicy pineapple skewers.
