Police investigate R1-million stock theft in Ingogo

These top-brand cattle were reportedly among hundreds of stock stolen, after being counted the previous day.

Police are investigating a case of stock theft which took place at an Ingogo farm recently.

“11 stud Wagyu heifer cattle worth approximately a million rand were reported stolen from a farm at the Ingogo policing area,” said a statement from SAPS Cluster spokesman, Captain Jabulani Ncube.

According to information received from the Stock Theft Unit, these top-brand cattle were reportedly among the hundreds of stock stolen, after being counted the previous day.

“The cattle are tattooed ‘BB’ on the ears only and are not branded.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Investigating Officer, Sergeant Ayanda Zwane, on 072 200 2301.
