Ramakrishna Sub-Centre Wellness Day given a clean bill of health

Testing of blood sugar and pressure, B12 injections and cancer screening.

Testing of blood sugar and pressure, B12 injections and cancer screening.

These were just some of the health services – estimated to cost a total of R750 per person – offered free of charge at the recent Wellness Day at The Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa’s Newcastle Sub-Centre in Lennoxton.

Organiser, Mona Maharaj believes this is just the beginning.

She hopes to expand the Wellness Day concept, with the intention of introducing it to other groups, organisations and religious congregations and allowing them to take charge and help distribute free services to more residents.

“They are welcome to contact me on 073 756 2480 and ensure Newcastle has access to these vital tests and services.”
