Grace, glamour and tiaras at the Zee TV Miss India South Africa NKZN pageant

People from around the country were present to support the girls, and finalists did not disappoint on delivering an action-packed and entertaining show.

All eyes were on the 16 finalists, who competed for the title of Zee TV Miss India South Africa NKZN.

The finale took place July 20 at the Richview Civic Centre.

The 21st edition of the annual pageant saw the contest make its Newcastle debut, as finalists represented their towns in four segments: western, talent, eastern and question-and-answer.

During these segments, contestants showcased their beauty and talents.

People from around the country were present to support the girls, and finalists did not disappoint on delivering an action-packed and entertaining show.

Ultimately, Akeera Rajaram Maniram from Gauteng was crowned queen, while local talent Sharnê Dheochand claimed the title of first princess.

Renisha Autar from Dundee was the second princess.

Regional Director for Miss India SA and emcee for the evening, Vimmi Ramdaas thanked patrons of Newcastle and surrounding areas for their support.

“The final three will represent NKZN at the national pageant later this year. Each girl was extraordinary in their own rights. To all the finalists, well done and ensure your direction towards the the field of arts and culture is followed with passion,” encouraged Ramdaas.
