CRIME: SAPS catch cable thief in the act
The copper cables have an estimated street value of almost R86 000, and an official investigation into the matter has been launched.
A suspected copper cable thief has met his match.
The suspect was nabbed by members of Newcastle SAPS’ Crime Prevention Group B, during an operation in conjunction with the Newcastle SAPS K9 Unit and the Crime Prevention Sector Team.

Sources said the man was caught stealing copper cable at a local business.
