Pick ‘n Win robbery suspect maintains his innocence
Suspect claims he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
One of the suspects arrested for the horror shooting at Pick ‘n Win Supermarket has maintained that he is innocent.
Thobela Khumalo tried to address court during the suspects recent appearance but was denied the opportunity to do so.
However, Dr Kunene told the Courier that Khumalo worked for him fixing his truck.
He said that Khumalo dropped his phone during the shooting incident and when he went back later to retrieve it, he was arrested by police.
He will appear in court again tomorrow alongside the ten men other men arrested which included an Iyanga from the Mondlo area.
Two police officers and a security guard were injured during the horror shooting. A passer-by, thought to be from Dannhauser, was shot and wounded in the chest. A woman shopper was also hit.
