Workshop held to teach drama skills to the youth

The workshop taught the youth about the different types of drama - including plays, opera, mime, ballet, theatre, radio and television

A workshop to enhance the drama skills of local youth was held at Ladysmith Public Library on Thursday, June 13.

Mr Mjacu from the Department of Arts & Culture, under the Language section, was the teacher on the day.

Attended by 28 young people, all above the age of 18, this workshop taught the youth about the different types of drama – including plays, opera, mime, ballet, theatre, radio and television.

Phumzile Mavimbela, who is an Outreach librarian at Alfred Duma Library, said, “I hope the response is just as good when we host another workshop aimed at uplifting the youth of Ladysmith.”
