Dynamic team puts smiles on the faces of young TB sufferers in hospital

The Duduza visits happen once a year, just before the Easter holidays

Child patients suffering from tuberculosis (TB) at Ladysmith Provincial Hospital had a special visit from N3 Toll Concession (N3TC) and Sharaj Ambulance Services staff yesterday (April 11).

Called the Duduza initiative, the dynamic team brought smiles to the children’s faces by handing out Easter chocolates and teddy bears. The parents were also present during the visit and beamed with appreciation.

Speaking about the initiative, Pravesh from N3TC said they have been doing this for over 25 years now, visiting provincial hospitals in smaller towns during Easter time. Next on the agenda is Estcourt.

The Duduza visits only happen once a year, just before the Easter holidays. During yesterday’s short visit to Ladysmith Provincial Hospital, a mother of triplets born prematurely conveyed a big thanks to the team for the teddy bears and Easter sweets given to nine-month-old Richard, Roland and Ronald.

The nursing staff too expressed their delight at this beautiful gesture by N3TC and Sharaj.
