Deadly disease targets cats and kittens in Ladysmith

The only way you can prevent your cat from contracting this disease is if they are vaccinated against it

According to the Animal Anti Cruelty League (AACL), countless numbers of cats and kittens have been put down due to the deadly feline respiratory disease called Snuffles.

Annamarie Koen of the AACL says the symptoms are sneezing, nasal discharge, coughing, alteration of the mouth, and if you see that your cat has lost weight and can’t eat. “If your cat has these symptoms, then please take them to the vet immediately,” urges Annamarie.

Snuffles is contagious to other cats and can be fatal if the animal is not treated in time.

A few dogs are available for adoption at the kennels, but unfortunately no cats. Visit the kennels on the N11 before the Limit Hill robots or phone Annamarie on 0761511784 for any enquiries.
