KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety & Liaison Mr Mxolisi Kaunda and Alfred Duma Local Municipality Mayor Vincent Madlala visited Ekuvukeni on Wednesday (March 20) to address issues surrounding the water and sewer crises that have hit the area.
For weeks on end, angry community members have blocked off roads, as they have had enough of no running water and not being able to use their own toilets.

MEC Kaunda told the community that the company tasked with attending to problems in the area was going to arrive the following day to start addressing their issues.
It is believed that a team of workers has already begun fixing the sewer problems.
